Inches. This photograph is of a senior political commissar Georgiy Grigoryevich Mitronin. During WWII, he served in the 20th Shooting Brigade.
Interesting fact: During WWII German soldiers were ordered not to take any political commissars as prisoners by the German high command, and execute them on the spot because they were considered enforcers of "Judeo-Bolshevism" ideology in the military forces.
