Inches. The photograph depicts Soviet Armenian general Sarkis Sogomonovich Martirosyan standing next to an unidentified Armenian colonel who is wearing a deputy badge. General Martirosyan was awarded the "Hero of USSR" medal in 1945
for the exemplary performance in combat missions of the command on the front during the struggle against the German invaders and for courage and heroism. During WWII he took part in the defense of Moscow, liberation of Kiev, Jassy-Kishinev offensive, Vistula-Oder offensive, Sandomierz-Silesian offensive, capture of Berlin and Liberation of Prague. The images at the end are for information only, they contain info about general Martirosyan found on Wikipedia, and the last image shows general's remembrance plaque in Erevan, Armenia.
