  • Condition: These garments have never been worn. The fabric however is vintage and has been "upcycled" from the tradtional way it was worn, The sewing was mostly done by the tribespeople as a way to earn extra income. it is rather rudimentary, however it adds to the honesty of the piece. I have washed it with The Laundress detergent (mild) deiicate cycle in the washing machine. No problems with the color.

    These tribes live in
    the
    mountains bordering
    Vietnam and China and have done
    for centuries.
    This Unisex garment is made from hand spun and handwoven cotton/hemp.Natural indigo dye is used. There are also colorful hand embroidered panels.
    This was purchased in the mid-1990's from the tribespeople. "Upcycling" their traditional vintage clothing gave the women a way to earn some extra money for their families.
    It has black cloth frog buttons in the front.
