    Description

This listing is for a hand-crafted sugar and creamer set from Ecuador, made of beautiful guayacan wood.  I purchased these lovely pieces in the late 1970s, when I spent two weeks in Ecuador for college credit. They were a gift for my mother, and were displayed in her home until her death in 2008.  They were never used to hold any food items (though there were a few buttons in the sugar bowl.)  They have been in my  home, also on display, since she passed.
Guayacan is/was very popular, a dense, bicolor hardwood from the tropics and semi-tropics.  Sadly, I am told that it is becoming more difficult to find because of that very popularity.
Because I plan to move to a smaller house a few years down the road, I have vowed to get rid of half of my possessions.  It's not easy deciding what to part with, but my loss can be your gain.  Since I have more than I can use, I am going to put up for sale a few of my pieces of guayacan wood, hoping that someone who loves wood and will cherish these uncommon items will find them.
Please note that I ship only within the continental United States.
Please also note that, as hand-crafted collectibles, these items can, and often do, have minor blemishes or irregularities attributable to the very nature of their manufacture.  This is part of their beauty and uniqueness.  Returns are accepted ONLY if the item is not as described and has substantial damage not noted in the description or pictures, so please, read the description and look carefully at the pictures.  Please feel free to message me with any questions.  Thanks for looking!
