    I couple of years ago I did a project involving this LED matrix and my graduation cap. I deconstructed my cap and then uploaded GIFs onto a MicroSD card. They cycled as I attended my graduation!
    I ripped the components out so there is some hot glue and stuff still on the matrix, but other than that you just need to figure out your power situation and put it into the cap—fun little project. I think mine was powered by a portable power bank.
